FHCI's Faith Statement

We the leadership and congregation of Faith Harvest Church do herein set forth the articles of faith to which we firmly adhere:

• We believe in God as three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and yet one sovereign Creator of all things.
  
  
• We believe that the Bible is the closed canon of Scripture, and that it is the infallible, inspired Word of God.
  
  
• We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was the Word made flesh. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, was crucified, died, buried, resurrected, ascended into Heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father.
  
  
• We believe in personal salvation through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
  We believe in water baptism as an outward sign of the inward work performed by God at the New Birth.
  
  
• We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit and all its Scriptural manifestations both for the empowerment of the believer and as an event separate from the New Birth.
  
  
• We believe that every believer is called to be formed into the image of Christ, and that this will happen as one surrenders both to the Word and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
  
  
• We believe in the Lord’s supper as a mechanism for believers to remember and rejoice in the finished work of Christ.
  
  
• We believe in evangelism both corporate and personal as the means through which the body shares the good news of the risen Christ with the world.
  
  
• We believe in the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ; the restoration of all things; the eternal joy of the redeemed, and the eternal punishment of the lost.
